Associate Therapists

In California, therapists complete years of education and training before becoming fully licensed. After earning a qualifying Master’s degree, they must complete at least 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience, which usually takes a minimum of two years. During this time, they are considered pre-licensed and work closely with a licensed supervisor who provides regular guidance and oversight to support their growth.

One of the benefits of working with an Associate or pre-licensed therapist is that they are in an active stage of learning — often eager to explore new techniques, integrate current research, and refine their clinical skills. They bring fresh perspectives while also receiving consistent supervision.

At Be Alright Wellness, our Associate therapist was carefully selected and works closely with me to ensure high-quality care and thoughtful support. Associate therapist's session fees are offered at a lower rate, making therapy more accessible while still maintaining strong professional oversight.
